Jamie Carruth, LMFT

Board Secretary

Jamie Carruth is a Licensed Marriage and Family  Therapist in California. As a trauma-informed therapist with a focus on relationships, she uses a variety of tools to address trauma and anxiety-related issues, including EMDR, Trauma-Resiliency Model, mindfulness, and somatic technique.

Jamie’s involvement in MHPEA stems from her belief that the profession is stronger when united, and from her concern that current systems do not adequately serve clinicians or clients. She is deeply worried about the future of mental health care, particularly the risk of losing the humanity that draws so many to the field. She believes that if clinicians are not cared for, they cannot fully care for their clients. Passionate about a needed paradigm shift, Sivie envisions a culture where professional advocacy uplifts all clinicians—beyond the confines of specific licenses—and where collaboration replaces competition for limited resources.
