Erica Brown, LPC
Board Member

Erica Brown is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida. Since 2014, she has worked in a variety of clinical settings, supporting individuals facing challenges related to addictions, eating disorders, anxiety, depression, and trauma. Today, she owns and operates her own private practice, specializing in working with adult children of emotionally immature parents who struggle with anxiety, relationship dynamics, and navigating complex family systems.
Erica joined MHPEA because she believes that high-quality, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed mental health care is a fundamental right—not a privilege. Her work within insurance-based systems has shown her how structural barriers can undermine the quality of care for both clients and clinicians, often leaving both feeling unsupported. She values MHPEA’s mission of promoting equity in mental health and shares its belief that care should be accessible, affordable, ethical, and culturally attuned. Committed to challenging systemic inequities, Erica advocates for a healthcare system that prioritizes the well-being of both clients and providers and fosters true healing in all communities. For her, joining MHPEA is the embodiment of belief in action.
